Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) is hiring a Software Engineer III to join its Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) engineering team in Hyderabad, Telangana. GHX builds a next-generation platform powered by LLMs and AI-native document understanding to extract structured data from complex healthcare procurement documents like purchase orders, invoices, and contracts at scale across cloud environments. In this hands-on engineering role, you will bridge strong software engineering with applied AI. A normal day involves designing and shipping Python services, integrating LLM APIs, building AI agents and workflows, creating skills, validating LLM outputs, and owning evaluation infrastructure that ensures production quality across cloud and automation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python-based automation services and IPA workflows.
• Integrate LLM APIs such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and Azure AI into production pipelines.
• Design and iterate classification and extraction prompts using few-shot, chain-of-thought, and structured output templates.
• Implement OCR and IDP workflows to extract and validate structured and unstructured data.
• Design and build production-grade APIs and services applying Clean Architecture principles.
• Deploy and monitor automation bots and applications on AWS services like Lambda, ECS, SQS, and S3.
• Own evaluation infrastructure, tracking precision, recall, and field-level accuracy for LLM outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 9 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Python, including Pandas, NumPy, Flask/Django, and async programming.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or Azure AI.
• Prompt engineering experience including structured outputs, few-shot, and chain-of-thought techniques.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS using Lambda, SQS, S3, and ECS.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and REST API design.

Good to have

• Experience with AI agent orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or MCP.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks for measuring LLM output performance.
• NLP or text classification background.
• UiPath Associate or Advanced RPA Developer certification or equivalent.
• Exposure to Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, or equivalent design patterns.
