In the Sr. Staff Back-End Engineer position for the Labor & Workforce Systems (LFS) platform in Bengaluru, you will lead the technology strategy and end-to-end architecture for systems that manage workforce forecasting, manpower planning, labor deployment, incentive management, staffing optimization, and attendance. On a normal day, you will design highly scalable distributed systems, build solutions that balance labor supply with operational demand, and partner closely with Operations, Product, HR, Finance, and Engineering leaders to solve complex, large-scale workforce challenges that directly influence business efficiency and operational success in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and technology strategy for the Labor & Workforce Systems (LFS) platform.
• Architect demand forecasting and labor planning systems to predict workforce needs and translate them into staffing requirements.
• Build scalable platforms and calculation engines for managing complex worker incentive programs.
• Design workforce deployment and staffing optimization solutions to allocate labor efficiently across shifts and sites.
• Architect systems supporting the complete workforce lifecycle from planning to offboarding.
• Lead architecture for mission-critical operational workflows through automation and platform standardization.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders across Operations, Product, HR, Finance, and Engineering.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Deep expertise in workforce management, labor planning, scheduling, forecasting, staffing, or workforce optimization systems.
• Experience building large-scale enterprise platforms with high operational impact.
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud architectures, event-driven systems, and data-intensive applications.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional technical strategy.
