Kaseya Careers is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Pune office to provide technical leadership and build large-scale systems. Kaseya is a major provider of AI-powered IT management and cybersecurity software, supporting Managed Service Providers and internal IT organizations globally with a platform that secures and automates IT environments. In this full-time role, a normal day involves designing scalable system architectures, defining technical strategies across teams, partnering with product leadership, and guiding modernization initiatives. You will also lead the adoption of AI-assisted development practices, drive root cause analysis for complex issues, and mentor engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional groups like QA, Product Management, and Support.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve large-scale systems and architectures focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define technical vision and strategy across teams to align with organizational goals.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to shape technical priorities and influence roadmaps.
• Guide technical direction across multiple teams through design patterns, architecture, and code reviews.
• Drive resolution of complex technical issues, observability improvements, and systemic reliability initiatives.
• Lead technical-debt reduction and re-platforming modernization efforts.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to enhance engineering velocity and product quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with cross-team technical leadership.
• Strong computer science fundamentals covering data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Deep background in designing and evolving large-scale distributed and high-performance systems.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating production applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure with cloud security knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives.

Good to have

• Experience with .NET full-stack and API development across frontend and backend layers.
• Proficiency in Rust, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep.
• Experience with secure coding practices, threat modeling, and modern authentication like OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
