Emergent Labs is looking for an AI Filmmaker to join its team in Bengaluru. Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications from plain-language intent. Backed by prominent investors, the company serves millions of users globally. In this role, about 70% of users are non-coders, including small business owners and solo founders. A normal day involves creating end-to-end films for social channels and campaigns using AI image and video tools. You will handle everything from concept, shot lists, and generation to editing and finishing. The work requires maintaining consistent characters, lighting, and storytelling that appeals primarily to audiences in the US and Europe. You will create various formats, ranging from 20-second social pieces to longer branded films and campaigns, ensuring high production value that functions as real film rather than mere tech demos.

Responsibilities

• Make short films and social video using AI image and video generation tools from concept to final cut
• Write or develop stories and build shot lists and storyboards before generating content
• Prompt, iterate, and curate until the output is genuinely usable
• Keep characters, wardrobe, locations, and lighting consistent across a full sequence
• Edit generated material into a finished film with sound design, music, grade, and captions
• Combine AI output with live footage, screen recordings, and motion graphics
• Build and maintain reusable assets including character references, style guides, and prompt libraries
• Keep pace with new models and tools and recommend updates to the team

Requirements

• A body of AI-generated film work to review with strong storytelling and visuals
• Demonstrated ability to generate realistic imagery and video with control over composition, lighting, and camera movement
• Proven consistency across shots in a sequence rather than standalone frames
• Hands-on command of current image and video generation tools
• Strong editing skills in Premiere Pro or Final Cut, plus After Effects
• Grounding in fundamentals like shot composition, coverage, pacing, and continuity
• Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate

Good to have

• Traditional film, animation, or VFX background
• Voice and audio generation, including cloning and dubbing
• Compositing, rotoscoping, or clean-up work
• Experience building repeatable pipelines rather than one-off pieces
