As an Analyst in Risk Management based in Bengaluru, you will be part of a team dedicated to safeguarding financial transactions and maintaining regulatory compliance. A normal day in this full-time role involves reviewing and conducting customer due diligence, assessing websites and merchant onboarding risks, monitoring transactions, and managing escalation queues. You will work closely with internal teams to handle complex cases, perform quality controls on suspicious activities, sanctions, and enhanced due diligence, and ensure adherence to AML and financial crime guidelines. Additionally, you will participate in process improvements, apply screening tools like Dow Jones and LexisNexis, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct onboarding and ongoing customer due diligence.
- Perform quality control for investigations including suspicious activity, sanctions, and enhanced due diligence.
- Manage daily escalation queues and handle complex or exception cases from business and operations teams.
- Participate in process improvement by identifying and implementing best practices.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on AML policies, fraud control, risk categorization, and associated reporting.
- Utilize essential screening tools including Dow Jones and LexisNexis.
- Communicate clearly and precisely with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience in Sanctions, AML, and Financial Crimes.
- Familiarity with Customer Due Diligence, website assessment, risk assessment during merchant onboarding, and Transaction Monitoring.
- Knowledge of customer support applications or CRMs such as Freshdesk.
- Familiarity with chargebacks, arbitration penalties, Visa and Mastercard guidelines, and reason codes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Bachelor's Degree.
