The Formulation R&D team at the Hyderabad location provides vital scientific expertise to manage program timelines and product deliverables. In this role, the team member works closely on developing unique product formulations and platforms to meet target product profiles. A typical day involves conducting lab trials and stability studies, performing literature searches, reviewing experimental data in electronic lab notebooks, coordinating with cross-functional teams, writing technical documents like protocols and reports, and ensuring strict compliance with quality, regulatory, and EHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formulation development tasks for differentiated products and new technologies following timelines and lab practices.
• Execute laboratory trials and manage stability studies for various formulations.
• Perform data review, compilation, and experiment writing within the electronic lab notebook.
• Conduct and support scientific literature searches and experimental data compilation for decision-making.
• Write and review protocols, development reports, validation plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Analytical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance.
• Support technical troubleshooting, root cause identification, and corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• Possess a M.Pharm or Ph.D. in Pharmacy.
• Minimum industrial experience of 3 years in pharmaceutical development and product scale-up.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Physical and mental capability to perform job responsibilities without restrictions.

Good to have

• Expertise in Immediate Release/Modified Release Solid Oral Dosage forms or Oral Suspensions/Solutions.
• Global product development experience with a core focus on the US market.
• Experience in developing branded and differentiated products in the 505(b)(2) category.
• Experience working alongside CROs and CDMOs.
