Member of Technical Staff - Lead Release Engineer (Production Engineering)
About this job
Everpure operates as a data platform and storage pioneer, growing significantly while serving hyperscalers, AI labs, and the wider AI ecosystem. As a Member of Technical Staff - Lead Release Engineer (Production Engineering) based in Bangalore, you will act as a vital connection between Development, QA, and Product Management to manage the complete release lifecycle of storage solutions. Rather than handling standard administrative release duties, this technical role involves deep hands-on work with CI/CD orchestration, system-level triaging, fleet operations, and codeline management. In a normal day, you might maintain release pipelines, drive automation initiatives, lead triage war rooms, build developer-facing tools, and take part in on-call rotations to ensure test infrastructure runs smoothly. You will also partner with engineering teams to optimize the software development lifecycle, manage hardware test fleets, and communicate release status and risks clearly across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete release workflow for storage firmware and software from development to General Availability.
- Design and construct optimized CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Premerge, and Orchestrator.
- Serve as the primary technical contact during release war rooms to analyze logs and prioritize bug fixes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and TPMs to enhance release quality and minimize manual build-test-deploy tasks.
- Improve operational efficiency, health, and automation for hardware test fleets supporting CI operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to manage incidents and resolve infrastructure problems.
- Build developer-friendly tools and automation workflows to streamline code integration and diagnose test failures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or DevOps.
- 3 to 5 years of focused experience working in a Lead capacity or Release Management role.
- Expert knowledge of orchestration platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI, along with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, versioning, and branching models including Trunk-based development and Gitflow.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for automation and analysis tasks.
- Deep familiarity with git operations, merge quality, release-safe workflows, and guardrails.
Who should apply
This role suits experienced engineering professionals with a strong background in software development, DevOps, and release management within data-critical environments. Candidates should have a deep technical foundation in CI/CD pipelines, scripting, systems triaging, and git workflows. If you excel at bringing order to complex technical challenges, leading cross-functional alignment, and building automation tools for developer productivity, you will find this position a great match. This posting does not state that freshers can apply.
