As an MTS - Performance Engineering at the Bangalore office, your role involves defining and validating the performance of the FlashArray portfolio and extending capabilities into the cloud. You will work closely with Product Management and Solutions Engineering to connect real-world customer needs with technical goals. A normal day in this position involves establishing benchmarking strategies, leading and mentoring engineers, validating critical customer scenarios, and overseeing deep-dive analysis to locate performance bottlenecks within the Linux storage and networking stack. By addressing these areas, you help ensure products maintain high throughput and low latency, ultimately influencing customer satisfaction and product adoption.

Responsibilities

• Define comprehensive performance benchmarking metrics for FlashArray products across various platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of motivated engineers.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Solutions, and Sales Engineering to validate critical customer use cases.
• Research and develop performance validation strategies matching real-world requirements.
• Oversee deep-dive analysis of performance bottlenecks in the Linux storage and networking stack.
• Identify optimization opportunities to improve user throughput and latency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and executing system-level performance testing for enterprise-grade solutions.
• Familiarity with servers, databases, and storage protocols like iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
• Expert-level proficiency with Linux systems, network configuration, and the storage stack.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide architectural direction to software and performance engineers.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex performance data.
• Ability to work from the Bangalore office in an in-office environment.
