Instawork is looking for an Operations Associate – Fleet Manager for the Instawork Robotics Lab in Bengaluru. Instawork runs an AI-powered labor marketplace and builds data solutions to help robotics companies train machines for physical tasks. In this role, you will keep the Instacore fleet moving and fully functional. The team focuses on capturing synchronized, high-diversity egocentric data across commercial environments to bridge the robotics data gap. A normal day involves tracking rig locations and conditions at a serial-number level, coordinating faulty rig recovery, managing SD card rotation, arranging travel and logistics for field officers, and ensuring smooth inter-city asset movement. You will also run daily asset reconciliations, update trackers in Google Sheets, and partner with cross-functional teams to maintain high equipment utilization and support operations leadership.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a live, accurate view of every rig across cities and hubs, tracked at the serial-number level.
- Ensure faulty rigs are quickly pulled from the field and returned to hubs for repair or replacement.
- Manage the end-to-end SD card pool to ensure clean cards are always available and data is offloaded promptly.
- Coordinate with the travel desk to arrange bookings and accommodation for Field Officers.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound movement of rigs between hubs and the field to match pipeline demands.
- Run daily reconciliation of rigs and SD cards, following up on missing assets and escalating when needed.
- Share daily fleet status reports and recovery turnaround times with operations leadership using Google Sheets.
Requirements
- 0 to 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, fleet, or inventory coordination
- Strong tracking discipline with comfort using Google Sheets including filters, lookups, and basic formulas
- High ownership and follow-through with the ability to coordinate across many people and teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-ground operations environment
- Experience with asset, inventory, or serialized-device tracking or field logistics
- Experience coordinating travel or vendor logistics
