As a Principal Engineer for DLP on the Data Security team based in Bengaluru, your primary role is to design, architect, and deliver next-generation data loss prevention solutions. The team focuses on providing unrivaled visibility and real-time data protection through scalable and high-performance software. A normal day in this role involves developing robust software using languages like C++, Golang, and Python, leveraging advanced algorithms, machine learning models, and AI-assisted tools. You will lead complex technical initiatives, collaborate with a talented group of software engineers, create solutions for deep content inspection, and mentor fellow team members to drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable systems as part of the data security services offering.
• Develop software using C++, C, Golang, and Python.
• Provide technical leadership for complex projects and drive solutions across multiple components.
• Apply machine learning models and advanced data structures to solve challenging real-time data processing problems.
• Utilize AI tools to assist with software design, building, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver solutions that prevent the loss of sensitive or confidential data via deep content inspection.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team.

Requirements

• 12+ years of industry experience building high-performance, scalable, and secure dataplane services.
• Programming mastery of C++ along with experience in Golang, Python, and C.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture including multithreading, memory management, and CPU scheduling.
• Solid grasp of algorithms and data structures utilized in real-time inline data processing.
• Experience and knowledge of TCP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, SMTP, and REST services.
• Hands-on experience developing data security solutions and using AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills using tools like gdb, Valgrind, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure, and Linux, Windows, or macOS operating systems.

Good to have

• MSCS or equivalent degree strongly preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Drone or Jenkins.
