This role operates within a team that bridges the networking and security domains, focusing on IPSec and GRE as the primary traffic steering methods into the Netskope cloud. In a normal day, team members design and build end-to-end systems, manage core protocols and infrastructure, develop scalable cloud services, evaluate open-source technologies, and collaborate with product management and support teams to resolve customer issues and ensure high availability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support high-performance and scalable cloud systems and services.
- Coordinate with service development, product management, and support teams to ensure service availability and scalability.
- Support the global customer base by addressing and resolving customer issues promptly.
- Evaluate open-source technologies for best-fit solutions and contribute ideas back to the community.
- Build technology blocks that define traffic steering and monitoring at scale using open-source tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience in network or cloud security solutions.
- Excellent programming experience in C, C++ (C++ 11), Python, and Typescript.
- Strong fluency in data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as C++ gtest and pytest.
- Experience working with VMs, Containers, Kubernetes, and NFVs.
- Firm grasp of networking concepts including TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP/s, VLANs, VPN, IPSec, and GRE.
- Exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases like MariaDB and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with traffic analysis tools like Wireshark and deployment frameworks like Ansible.
