As a Software Development Engineer in Test for SASE at Netskope in Bengaluru, you will focus on ensuring the delivery of high-performance WAN edge and Cloud networking solutions. A normal day in this role involves reviewing product designs, writing comprehensive test plans, executing functional, system, performance, and scale tests, and building automated scripts for regression runs. You will also set up complex distributed test environments across cloud platforms and hypervisors, troubleshoot customer issues, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet feature deliverables during release cycles. Responsibilities

• Understand feature requirements, review designs, and create test plans based on customer use cases.
• Own features end-to-end including testing, automation, error-free regression runs, and handling customer issues.
• Perform functional, system, performance, and scale testing.
• Build distributed complex test setups in various cloud platforms and hypervisors.
• Debug customer issues and suggest or implement applicable workarounds.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product release deliverables.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in software testing, quality engineering, or automation.
• Strong expertise in Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android platforms with system-level agent testing experience.
• Knowledge of L2/L3 networking concepts, routing protocols, VPN, IPSec, and WAN architecture.
• Strong expertise in the Python programming language for automation-driven testing.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, server virtualization products, and IaaS platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD deployment in public clouds and source code systems like GitHub.
• Experience with traffic generator tools such as Spirent and Ixia, plus HTTP-based APIs.

Good to have

• Familiarity with web programming and HTTP-based APIs including REST or GraphQL.
• Experience in scale and performance validation of endpoint client deployments.
