Ethos Life is seeking a Principal Product Manager for their Consumer Product team in Bangalore, India. Ethos operates as a leading life insurance technology company that uses a robust three-sided platform to modernize life insurance for consumers, agents, and carriers, providing instant and accessible products with simple online processes and no medical exams. In this role, you will be part of the Consumer Product team tasked with creating an engaging digital journey for users. A typical day involves using data and user insights to shape the consumer experience, guiding shoppers from onboarding through the entire purchasing journey, driving experimentation, and collaborating closely with design and engineering teams to remove friction and improve conversion rates.

Responsibilities

• Build digital experiences for millions of online insurance shoppers.
• Manage the complete user experience from the top to the bottom of the funnel.
• Use data and consumer insights to boost conversion rates and improve the user journey.
• Help consumers understand life insurance needs and select correct coverage.
• Remove friction and motivate users to complete their applications easily.
• Design end-to-end experiences focused on simplicity, accessibility, and delight.
• Operate autonomously with high ownership in a product-first culture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of total experience in the technology industry.
• 5+ years of experience working as a product manager in a high growth technology company.
• Experience building products that touch millions of consumers.
• Ability to test and refine hypotheses using data, market trends, and user insights.
• Ability to turn ideas into action plans and user-resonant designs via rapid prototyping.
• Strong analytical orientation with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and design stakeholders.
• Track record of solving complex customer problems and driving business growth.

Good to have

• Experience performing basic self-serve analytics using SQL and Amplitude.
• Experience leveraging product analytics for complex analysis.
