As the Senior Director, Enterprise Control Framework within the Compliance department, you will own the design, documentation, and ongoing health of the company's non-financial control framework. This position focuses on building and sustaining the control architecture covering operational risk and compliance across the enterprise, acting as the connective tissue between company obligations and daily operations. A normal day involves partnering with the Compliance Risk Management team, managing control mappings, ensuring frameworks remain evergreen against regulatory changes, and starting hands-on while building and leading a small team as the function scales.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise non-financial control framework end-to-end, including risk and control mapping.
• Write clear, testable control descriptions including owners, frequency, types, and required evidence.
• Keep the framework evergreen by establishing triggers for regulatory changes, product launches, and updates.
• Partner with the Compliance Risk Management team to ensure controls are ready to test.
• Build and lead the function as a hands-on player-coach, hiring and managing analysts.
• Support internal and third-party audits, market conduct exams, and regulatory requests.
• Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies and procedures for consistency.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant Compliance, controls, risk, or audit experience in insurance or regulated financial services.
• Demonstrated ownership of building or substantially rebuilding a control framework at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in control design and documentation for testable, operable controls.
• Strong command of risk and control taxonomies, rating frameworks, and GRC tooling.
• Experience partnering with independent testing or monitoring functions.
• Strong governance background with experience presenting to risk committees and executive leadership.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with precise documentation capabilities.
