Paytm, India's leading mobile payments and financial services distribution company, is hiring for a Product Management - UPI Product role based in Bangalore, Karnataka. Paytm builds technologies to help small businesses with payments and commerce, aiming to bring half a billion Indians into the mainstream economy. In this full-time role, you will own and scale the UPI product charter, which is one of the largest surfaces in Indian fintech. A normal day involves setting multi-year visions, translating them into execution roadmaps, driving core metrics, collaborating with engineering and data science teams, managing external regulatory partners like NPCI, and applying modern AI solutions to solve massive-scale payment problems.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for Paytm's UPI product suite, balancing scale, reliability, growth, and innovation.
• Drive core UPI metrics including transaction success rates, activation, retention, P2P/P2M growth, and market share.
• Champion an AI-first product culture using Generative AI, ML-based risk models, and conversational interfaces.
• Use consumer research, funnel analytics, and cohort data to understand customer needs and prioritize features.
• Manage stakeholders and partners across NPCI, banking partners, regulators, and internal legal and compliance teams.
• Drive quarterly and annual planning cadences, set measurable OKRs, and remain accountable to outcomes.
• Represent Paytm externally as a thought leader on UPI and digital payments innovation.

Requirements

• Experience in product management within consumer fintech, payments, or high-scale consumer internet products.
• Proven experience owning large, consumer-facing products at scale with tens of millions of users or transactions.
• Strong product analyst instincts with the ability to dive into funnels, cohorts, and SQL data tools.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI and ML to real product problems such as personalization and fraud detection.
• Track record of building 0-to-1 products and scaling 1-to-100 platforms in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence engineering leaders, executives, and regulators.
• Strong understanding of the UPI ecosystem, NPCI guidelines, bank partnerships, and payment rails.

Good to have

• Experience with UPI, wallets, payments, or adjacent fintech products.
• MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institute.
