NETGEAR is hiring a SASE Desktop Client Software Developer in Bengaluru to create advanced Windows applications for their next-generation security platform. The company builds intelligent connectivity solutions and innovative networking products designed to protect users and power businesses. In this role, you will help develop desktop tools that provide access to crucial cybersecurity capabilities like SASE, VPN, and Zero Trust Network Access. A normal day involves designing secure applications, implementing network features using protocols like IPSec or WireGuard, writing clean and testable code in C# and .NET, and collaborating closely with backend, product, and QA teams. You will take ownership of end-to-end features, participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to security guidelines, and help deliver a seamless desktop experience integrated with NETGEAR's security services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure Windows desktop applications for the security platform.
• Implement networking features including VPN connectivity, secure tunneling, and ZTNA access.
• Collaborate with backend, product, UX/UI, and QA teams to define and build desktop features.
• Ensure applications follow security best practices, data protection, and Windows guidelines.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain unit and integration tests using frameworks like xUnit.
• Participate in code reviews and support engineering standards.
• Stay updated on trends in Windows desktop development and endpoint cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Windows desktop application development using C#, .NET, Win32, and WPF.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and Windows networking APIs or system-level frameworks.
• Experience integrating certificate-based authentication, Windows Hello, or OS-level security APIs.
• Familiarity with VPN protocols such as WireGuard or IPSec for secure tunnel implementation.
• Experience with Windows application packaging, code signing, and deployment tools like WiX or MSIX.
• Strong understanding of desktop security practices, encryption, and user authentication.

Good to have

• Familiarity with cross-platform desktop frameworks such as Electron, Qt, or Flutter Desktop.
• Experience with enterprise deployment and endpoint management solutions like Microsoft Intune.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for desktop applications.
