Smartsheet is inviting applications for the Senior AI/ML Ops Engineer I role in Bangalore, India. In this position, you will help bridge the gap between model development and production by managing AI/ML Ops platforms and pipelines. A normal day in this role involves designing automated CI/CD pipelines, deploying AI and ML services to production, optimizing infrastructure, and implementing post-deployment monitoring for model performance and latency. You will also collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to ensure data security, manage versioning, and support fine-tuning workflows, foundation models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain stable AI/ML Ops platforms and pipelines.
• Package and deploy AI/ML services to production environments.
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate model deployment.
• Manage and optimize infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless platforms.
• Monitor post-deployment model performance, data drift, and latency.
• Manage the deployment of foundation models, fine-tuning workflows, and RAG stacks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers.

Requirements

• 7 to 12 years of experience in AI/ML Ops
• Experience with enterprise SaaS software solutions with high availability
• Experience with Databricks Lakehouse ecosystem, MLFlow, and Unity Catalog
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph
• Experience with modern engineering practices like Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IAC tools
• Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis

Good to have

• Experience with Monte Carlo for monitoring
• Experience with AWS Bedrock
• Experience in AWS hosted data platforms
