As a Senior Analytics Engineer at G2 based in Bengaluru, you will work at the intersection of business, analytics, and engineering to turn raw information into product features and strategic insights. Your daily responsibilities involve partnering with cross-functional teams and technical departments to build scalable data architectures. You will design and maintain robust dbt data pipelines, optimize analytical use cases, build semantic views for AI-ready data consumption, and ensure high standards of data security, governance, and compliance. Additionally, you will mentor data platform associates, conduct code reviews, and translate complex business OKRs into reliable, high-performance technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust dbt data models and pipelines for ecommerce tracking and experimentation.
• Build auto-recoverable data transformations meeting strict performance SLAs and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Maintain the data catalog and define semantic views for self-service data consumption.
• Ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and strong security across all data environments.
• Mentor and guide other data platform associates on best practices and solutioning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience implementing enterprise data solutions.
• 3+ years of experience using ETL tools and pipeline orchestrators like dbt and Airflow.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling, database architecture, and optimization.
• Extensive experience writing, debugging, and tuning SQL queries.
• Strong programming experience in Python or Java.
• Good understanding of AWS data services and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.

Good to have

• Experience in Snowflake schema design and performance optimization.
• Experience building semantic layers or AI-ready data products.
• Working experience in startup environments and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or Snowplow data.
• Understanding of reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
