NETGEAR is hiring a Senior Engineer I, Software Development - Insight in Bengaluru, India to lead the development of their cloud-based Network Management System platform. The company creates intelligent networking products and solutions to connect people and power businesses. In this role, you will build sophisticated web applications and mobile interfaces that allow enterprise customers to monitor, configure, and manage network infrastructure like switches, routers, and WiFi access points at scale. A normal day involves designing scalable web applications, building responsive dashboards for real-time network monitoring, creating interactive topology maps, developing APIs for device integration, and contributing to a secure multi-tenant SaaS platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications for network device management, monitoring, and configuration.
• Build responsive dashboards displaying network topology, device status, performance metrics, and alerting systems.
• Develop APIs and interfaces for managing diverse network hardware from multiple vendors.
• Create interactive network topology maps and device relationship diagrams.
• Build mobile applications for field technicians to configure and troubleshoot network devices remotely.
• Implement real-time network performance monitoring, SNMP integration, and telemetry data visualization.
• Develop tools for bulk device configuration, firmware updates, and policy deployment.
• Create RESTful APIs for third-party integrations and customer automation workflows.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in React.js, MUI/Material UI, JavaScript, TypeScript, D3.js, and WebSocket.
• Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or Java for building scalable network management services.
• Understanding of SNMP, SSH, Telnet, NETCONF, and REST APIs for network device communication.
• Experience with time-series databases and traditional databases.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP focusing on networking services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10-12 years of full-stack development experience with 3+ years in network management or infrastructure software.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols, and enterprise networking concepts.

Good to have

• Experience with network device APIs such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and Ubiquiti.
• Knowledge of WiFi standards, network switching concepts, and routing protocols.
• Experience building SaaS platforms for enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with network automation tools like Ansible and Puppet, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of network security principles, VPN configurations, and secure device access methods.
