In this role, you will serve as the de-facto Finance Lead for the Engage vertical, partnering closely with business heads to shape financial strategy rather than just handling routine data entry. A normal day in this position involves managing complex revenue recognition models, supporting the sales team with scenario simulators, driving the month-end close process, defending revenue positions during audits, and building live reporting dashboards to give leadership real-time visibility into financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex revenue recognition models and maintain progressive revenue logic.
- Act as a point of contact for sales, maintaining scenario simulators for profitable deals.
- Take ownership of statutory audits for the division and defend revenue positions.
- Own the month-end close process with accurate accruals and provisions.
- Monitor AP/AR split and flag liquidity risks to the central treasury.
- Build and maintain live dashboards in Looker or Excel for leadership.
- Lead cross-functional projects to fix billing or reconciliation bottlenecks.
Requirements
- CA / ACCA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent from a reputed institute.
- 2–4 years of experience.
- Advanced Excel fluency including VLOOKUPs, Index-Match, and Pivot Tables.
- Strong grasp of Revenue Recognition standards (IndAS 115).
- First-principles thinker with problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communicator capable of explaining accounting constraints clearly.
- Mentor mindset with the ability to guide interns and junior analysts.
Good to have
- Prior exposure to Fintech, SaaS, or high-transaction environments.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker or PowerBI.
