As a Senior Manager for Trade Affirmations and Settlements based in Hyderabad, you will lead a team responsible for managing trade affirmation, confirmation matching, and settlement processing with a primary emphasis on OTC derivatives. A normal day in this role involves overseeing daily operations, managing team deliverables, addressing aged affirmation discrepancies and settlement breaks, and collaborating with counterparties, prime brokers, custodians, and internal middle-office teams. You will also coordinate client onboarding initiatives, drive automation and process enhancements alongside technology groups, manage regulatory and market changes, and mentor team members to ensure efficient and compliant trade lifecycle operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the team work product for trade affirmation, confirmation matching, and settlement processing across asset classes.
• Oversee daily operations, escalate aged discrepancies and settlement breaks, and set team goals.
• Verify and validate trade confirmations while resolving trade economics discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with investment managers and prime brokers to resolve daily exceptions and drive straight-through processing rates.
• Contribute to system and process improvements by partnering with technology teams on automation initiatives.
• Lead new client onboarding onto affirmation and settlement workflows from process design through go-live.
• Manage global regulatory and market change management events impacting trade affirmations and settlements.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and managers within the affirmations and settlements function.

Requirements

• 9–12 years of work experience in trade affirmations, confirmations, and settlements.
• Strong exposure to OTC derivatives across various asset classes.
• Complete understanding of ISDA trade confirmation processes and the overall trade life cycle.
• In-depth domain and finance knowledge with strong attention to detail.
• Experience managing high performers with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong project management skills and effective managerial ability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
