As a Product Specialist for the UBOR team, you will join a cross-functional product unit dedicated to the core portfolio and P&L accounting offerings on the platform. Your main objective is to help shape financial software by combining accounting expertise with technology. A typical workday involves brainstorming product value propositions, writing detailed feature specifications, collaborating with software engineers to design solutions, preparing business test cases, tracking project risks, and evaluating ongoing product development to ensure alignment with the initial vision.

Responsibilities

• Take products or features from concept through to creation.
• Brainstorm product features and define their value proposition for clients.
• Translate product vision into roadmaps and specifications via business analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to turn specifications into functional designs.
• Prepare comprehensive business test cases to support the engineering process.
• Evaluate progress against test cases to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Track risks, question assumptions, and actively mitigate execution issues.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial statements, and journal entries.
• Working knowledge or strong aptitude to learn fund and portfolio accounting concepts.
• Comfortable working in Excel.
• High attention to detail and strong ownership over accuracy and timeliness.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative attitude to work with cross-functional teams.

Good to have

• Knowledge of fixed income and derivatives.
• Exposure to SQL.
• Familiarity with Python or LLM agentic tools.
• Outstanding academic background with a genuine interest in financial markets and technology.
