As a Software Engineer II at CertifyOS in Bengaluru, you will spend your days building and maintaining production-quality software using an AI-first engineering workflow. In this role, you will develop features from design to deployment, write clean and well-tested code, and debug production issues to ensure high system reliability. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to solve complex problems. CertifyOS operates an API-first platform that automates healthcare provider licensing, credentialing, and network monitoring by connecting directly to primary data sources. Your daily routine will involve combining strong engineering judgment with modern AI coding agents like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to accelerate development while upholding strict standards of security, testing, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-quality software features from design through deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate actively in design discussions and code reviews.
• Debug production issues and improve overall system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Use AI coding agents as part of the daily development workflow to accelerate delivery.
• Validate, test, and improve AI-generated code before pushing to production.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java or similar object-oriented languages.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience building production applications with familiarity in databases and data modeling.
• Strong debugging and testing fundamentals, including debugging unfamiliar code.
• Comfort using AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
• Ability to validate AI-generated code to produce production-ready solutions.
• Good communication, collaboration skills, and a growth mindset.

Good to have

• Experience with microservices and event-driven systems like Kafka.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
