Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Work with MySQL, Hive, Trino, and Apache Spark for data storage, querying, and processing.
• Improve service reliability, performance, and scalability through thoughtful design and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders on technical design, code reviews, and delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Django.
• Working knowledge of MySQL and experience with Hive, Trino, and Spark for data querying and processing.
• Practical experience developing or maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals, API development, debugging, and performance optimization.
