Stripe is seeking an Engineering Manager for Accounting Products based in Bengaluru, India. Stripe operates as a financial infrastructure platform helping millions of enterprises and startups accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate business opportunities with the mission to increase the internet's GDP. The team sits within Stripe's Revenue & Financial Management group, which builds products addressing Revenue Management, Financial Operations, and analytics, such as Billing, Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, and Reconciliation. In a normal day, this role involves leading a team of talented engineers to solve large-scale data engineering challenges, collaborating with product managers and customers to shape roadmaps, and driving technical and operational excellence. You will actively recruit, mentor, and grow team members, guide the launch of new accounting product features, partner broadly across Stripe to integrate features, and contribute to wider engineering initiatives as a member of the management team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to solve large scale data engineering challenges and achieve technical excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers and speak directly with customers to set a prioritized roadmap.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and support the professional growth of team members.
• Play a key role in launching new product features and capabilities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate features into the broader Stripe suite.
• Contribute to wider engineering initiatives across the Revenue and Finance Automation organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• 10+ years of overall industry experience.
• Demonstrated success leading high-complexity teams working on multiple high-impact areas simultaneously.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to think rigorously and make hard decisions.
• Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
• Experience fostering a healthy, supportive, and challenging work environment.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience solving complex, large-scale technical problems.

Good to have

• Familiarity with large scale distributed systems or big data processing systems.
• Experience working in high-growth teams similar to Stripe.
• Experience building financial systems or tools for financial experts.
• Experience with accounting procedures or systems.
