Stripe is looking for a Staff Engineer for Revenue Experiences to join its team in Bengaluru. Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform that helps millions of companies accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate business opportunities with the mission to increase the internet's GDP. The Commercial Experiences Engineering team focuses on providing internal and external users with a top-tier billing experience, managing everything from pricing platforms to revenue collection infrastructure. In a normal day, a Staff Engineer in this role will drive the technical roadmap, collaborate globally with cross-functional partners and engineering managers, design architecture, build key systems hands-on, and mentor the next generation of senior engineers while aligning technology solutions with business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical leadership, execution, and roadmap for Commercial Experiences Engineering.
• Partner with engineering, product, and design leaders to define product strategy and user experiences.
• Work cross-functionally with business leaders and partner engineering teams across regions.
• Ensure platform solutions and user billing data maintain high quality to support Stripe's growth.
• Drive interoperability across User Billing platforms and integrations with various company teams.
• Establish best practices, frameworks, and repeatable processes for effective team execution.
• Mentor and support the career growth of engineers at various levels.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience building large-scale, distributed systems.
• Track record of building complex distributed systems, optimizing performance, and making data-driven trade-offs.
• Experience building and operating infrastructure and tools empowering developers and product teams.
• Experience influencing company strategy at the intersection of business needs and technology.
• Experience leading and creating strong technical teams focused on operational excellence and collaboration.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback effectively with peers and team members.
• Past experience mentoring and investing in the development of engineers.

Good to have

• Prior experience in the financial technology space.
• Experience in payment processing, accounting, or financial reporting.
