As the firm expands operations, it seeks a hands-on Product Manager for the Tax Product team in Bengaluru, Gurugram, or Hyderabad. In this role, you will lead the evolution of technology solutions designed for alternative investment and hedge fund tax operations. A normal day involves collaborating closely with engineering teams, translating complex tax workflows into scalable product requirements, guiding features through the complete lifecycle from conception to production delivery, and engaging directly with internal stakeholders and clients to answer tax product inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Drive requirements, prioritization, and delivery for the Tax Product roadmap.
• Partner directly with engineering across the full lifecycle from problem definition to production.
• Translate complex hedge fund tax mechanics into precise technical specifications.
• Handle client and internal stakeholder questions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Contribute to and eventually own the vision and roadmap for the Tax Product.
• Operate as an individual contributor with a performance-based path to leading the team.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in US Taxation with expertise in hedge fund tax compliance and planning.
• Working knowledge of wash sales and tax lot classification including Section 1256 treatment.
• Experience with K-1 and investor allocation processing plus regulatory filings like FBAR, FATCA, and FIN48.
• Direct experience building or delivering technology solutions for tax operations with an engineering team.
• Ability to work independently and produce accurate outputs for reviews.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of meeting commitments on time.
• Outstanding academic background and an interest in high-tech software development environments.
