QA Engineer - O2C & Enterprise Billing Testing

As a QA Engineer focusing on O2C and Enterprise Billing Testing at Bangalore, India, you will be part of the BOBA Frameworks QA team, a small and high-ownership unit within the Finance engineering organization. In this role, you act as the quality gatekeeper for financial systems where quality impacts revenue accuracy and customer trust. A normal day involves mapping complex data flows across Salesforce CPQ, middleware, the Billing Platform, payment gateways like Braintree, and NetSuite ERP. You will test end-to-end pipelines, validate usage-based billing logic, investigate system logs, perform cross-system integration testing, and collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive test strategies for the entire Opportunity-to-Cash lifecycle from Salesforce CPQ to NetSuite.
• Validate invoice generation, taxation via Avalara, proration, discounts, tiered and usage-based pricing models, and dunning workflows.
• Own and maintain structured test plans in Xray for buying programs including PAYG, Savings Plan, and Volume Plan.
• Test end-to-end payment flows through Braintree, validating authorizations, settlements, and partial refunds.
• Simulate high-volume usage data, validate tier drawdown logic, and ensure accurate calculation of overages.
• Perform integration testing across financial tech stacks, validating API payloads and investigating background sync failures.
• Investigate system logs for root cause analysis and provide developers with clear bug reproduction steps.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Finance to translate complex revenue rules into foolproof test scenarios.

Requirements

• 4+ years of QA experience focusing heavily on Quote-to-Cash or Order-to-Cash business processes.
• Hands-on experience testing and configuring quotes, product bundles, amendments, and contract renewals within Salesforce CPQ.
• Proven experience testing complex enterprise billing systems such as BillingPlatform or Zuora.
• Hands-on experience testing enterprise payment gateways like Braintree, Stripe, or Adyen with understanding of payment lifecycles.
• Familiarity with provisioning and event-driven middleware like Boomi to read payload logs and trace sync breaks.
• Proficiency in Jira for defect tracking and Agile workflows, alongside hands-on experience using Xray.
• Experience validating data transfers between systems using tools like Postman or middleware logs.
• Familiarity with enterprise taxation calculation software like Avalara and consumption-based pricing models.
